Alexa Ste Marie

Alexa Ste. Marie is a dancer, singer, choreographer and performer based in Victoria. Before pursuing her formal arts training, Alexa toured across the province and internationally, performing dance shows to raise funds and awareness to help those affected by human trafficking. She then went on to attend the Canadian College of Performing Arts where she expanded her artistic repertoire, performing in Stagedoor as Pat, and West Side Story as Velma. Since graduating, she has been teaching dance at Boston Dance Collective and the Canadian College of Performing Arts, as well as working with contemporary dance company Broken Rhythms, and performing in videos produced by Clock Tower Images. Alexa also specializes in arts and creativity for children, facilitating Painted Turtle Arts Camps across British Columbia.

Courtney Crawford

Courtney is a theatre artist who grew up singing and dancing in the small town of Kimberley, BC. She believes that theatre is an incredibly valuable tool in this world and the greatest way to teach empathy. Her strong passion for the arts led her to complete the two year diploma program as well as the Studio Ensemble program at the Canadian College of Performing Arts. Courtney is passionate about devising, stage managing, and performing in theatre that compels an audience to feel something. After spending the summer of 2021 devising and performing with Theatre SKAM’s Pop-Up Theatre, she wants to continue to create new works, specifically those that channel passion and creativity into a meaningful audience experience. Some of her favourite credits include: Clara Johnson in The Light in the Piazza (CCPA) and Helga in Cabaret (T&A Productions)

Rose McTavish

Rose is a queer director, performer and writer. She grew up in the theatre and trained as a circus artist in Vancouver for 10 years before moving to Victoria to attend the Canadian College of Performing Arts. After graduating from CCPA, Rose went on to complete a Bachelor of Performing Arts. Rose now directs the Kids Program at Island Circus Space. She coaches children of all ages, and a community of incredible adults. Rose’s theatrical training has always been interwoven in her work in the circus, and she brings dynamic physical storytelling elements to the work she creates. In 2021, she had the joy of editing and directing A Distancia, a new play written by Regina Rios which was performed in the SKAMpede Festival. Rose is driven to create work that is connected to the love of play that brought her to the arts.

Chelsea MacEwan

Chelsea is a local dance instructor/theatre artist from Sidney, BC. She danced for 17 years at Saanich dance studio, Allegro Performing Arts Centre, before graduating from The Canadian College of Performing Arts’ Company C program in 2020. It was at CCPA where she found her own artistic voice, which led her to write, direct and choreograph award-winning mini-musical “BRUNCH: The Musical”. She has worked and danced across BC, most notably in Kelowna and the Kootenays. She most recently performed in Dance Encounters (Alexa Ste Marie) and as Ms. Darbus in Espetáculo CDR 2020.

Regina Ríos

Born and raised in Mexico City, Regina Ríos moved to the traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, colloquially known as Victoria in 2017 to further develop her artistry as an actor, singer, dancer and creator. She loves to collaborate and wants to create new work that pushes boundaries and speaks about her unique immigrant experience and her multicultural identity. She graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts and obtained her Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree from Capilano University in 2022. She most recently was seen performing an abridged version of her (still in development) one-woman show A Distancia in the 2021 SKAMpede festival, which was first developed through Mercedes Bátiz-Benét’s mentorship in Puente and Intrepid Theatre’s ConVERGE micro-residency.
